Working towards a Safer Environment!
Asialab was established in 1985. Today, Asialab is one of the leading companies in the region that provides comprehensive radiation, mercury, magnetic and microbe monitoring and inspection services. Asialab are the first company in Malaysia that have dual accreditations from by the Atomic Agency Board and Ministry of Health. Asialab operates an environmental monitoring laboratory located in Kuala Lumpur to support a wide range radiation, mercury and microbe assessment and monitoring activities across the ASEAN region.
With the recent Japan nuclear fallout incident, all the nearby countries including Malaysia had taken the preventive measures to ensure no radiation contamination in all of the Japan-imported foods and people coming back from Japan. Ministry of Health Malaysia is also taking the lead in implementing the “detain-test-release” method to screen all the imported food from Japan. Being one of companies offering radiation monitoring and consultancy, Asia Lab has laboratory facility for testing radioactivity in food and environment samples.
